Ultimate Soccer is a $4 mil purpose-built small sided football facility located in football’s heartland Western Sydney.
A state-of-the-art floodlit facility that has an elevated clubhouse including showers, changing rooms and a modern lounge area to accommodate the football community with 5 a-side league competitions, kids parties, pitch hire and football coaching clinics and camps.
Offering a safe environment that promotes fun and fitness to social participants, and skill development, discipline and teamwork to those that take their football a little more serious.
PROJECT DETAILS
- Design a new-look rebound fence system incorporating an enclosed cage of rebound boards, side and roof netting...‘CAGE SYSTEM’ so the ball is always in play!
- Design a robust synthetic grass surface system incorporating the best high-use, multi-use turf fibre blade that is more resistant to splitting.
- The 50mm turf retains evenness and natural ball roll with better tuft bind and reduced infill splash, bumps and potholes.
Understanding the load impact on corner and intermediate posts the new “Cage System” will have on the existing netting system installed by others. The specifications and loads deemed necessary to achieve the “Cage System” are both heavier and larger and therefore some posts will have their loads neutralised, some possibly have their loads increased with a likely outcome that the “sags” over and in the existing fields will differ as a consequence. Our challenge was to ensure this has no impact on safety and playability of the existing fields.
